About

I am an Iranian-British artist, poet and writer, born in 1975, living and working in London. I work in digital painting, archival print and works on paper (pencil, coloured pencil, pastel, acrylic, collage and red electrical tape). I have drawn all my life, for many years without exhibiting, and have kept a continuous studio practice since 2020, alongside three decades of work in journalism, criticism and editing. My work brings together image and disrupted Persian script to approach what cannot be shown directly: censorship, protest, loss and testimony.
